Five Petal Purple Flower April 09

Testing out the macro lens and the Canon 5D mark 2. Excellent camera and excellent lens! This is shot is a straight forward capture of a purple flower that seems to bloom in April and has 5 petals.

I am trying to find out the name of this flower. This is a beautful picture. I have the same flowers growing against a tree in my front yard and was wondering the name of it.
