Philip Bloom’s 7D Footage - 24p is Nice!

If you haven’t heard of Philip Bloom yet, let me introduce! He’s a fantastic DP, technologist, video-know-how dude that really knows how to showcase gear and develop work flows. Recently, he had a chance to test out a pre-release model of the new Canon EOS 7D …

And here’s his thoughts on the 7D camera after his exposure to it.

Would I grab a 7D? It’s a tough call … I seriously hope Canon releases a firmware update to the 5D mk2. CanonRumors even has a post about a possible 5D 1.1.4 firmware update from a French source, with notes about 24p. Honestly Canon! It’d be ridiculous to leave such an amazing camera crippled from it’s true video potential!!
